Hey, I’m Kelsi

North Park, Colorado is a unique place. We have mountains, two seasons - winter and mild winter- wildlife, thousands of cattle, and only a few hundred people. I grew up here, and while there were moments that I didn’t always appreciate it, I have found that this place really does hold little bits of heaven. That’s why my favorite pastime has become photographing the park and all the creatures that thrive here.

As a normal, anxiety ridden millennial, I have always struggled with the balance of work and life. My Psychology background has landed me jobs in the oil and gas industry, with the State of Colorado, and now as an Academic Advisor for my alma mater. I LOVE IT, but the stress is real. Influencing another person’s life is kind of a big deal. But I get to live in my HOME and that’s worth something.

Finding my zen happened while I was out surrounded by whispering leaves and the fragrant sage, and when I was out stalking my next photo subject. Photography of animals and the landscape surrounding me soon became something I craved when I was stuck behind a desk for too many days in a row. I never thought I would be creating images that would be worth something to anyone other than me...

Well, it turns out, a lot of people appreciate the same serenity of the mountains and wildlife that I do, but they don’t get to enjoy it everyday. After a lot of convincing from my instapeeps I entered some state and local competitions with my favorite pictures… and I won! My purple Grand Champion ribbons were cool, but you know what was even better? People started offering me money for these images! WHATTT???!!!! So here we are… with a name, a website, and the same craving to share my world with everyone else.
